The best way to get a feel for how SOAR is touching lives is to catch a glimpse of the action.

Flower Power: Bank of America and Wakeman Boys & Girls
SOAR’s mantra of “Service + Social Connection = Elevated Outcomes” was in full-force when an amazing team of volunteers from Bank of America came together with members of Wakeman Boys & Girls Southport Clubhouse to uplift their community together. ❤️
It was our Corporate Flower Power Program poetry in motion, a seamless execution of SOAR’s model of making arrangements for those in one’s own life and gifting as a group to local community members who could use an uplift. 🌸
Flower Power: Talmadge Hill Community Church
The Talmadge Hill Community Church congregation came together on a gorgeous Sunday to immerse in Flower Power and bring love and healing to those at Silver Hill Hospital and Waveny Care Center while the incredibly talented
Hailey Carone captured the day in such a poetic way. ❤️
Social Seats: Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center
A day to remember for SOAR's Social Seats program, sponsored by the Lions Club of Ridgefield and setting an attendance record of community members coming together to spend time over breakfast connecting with others.
A tremendous testament to teamwork, collaboration, love,
and the lifechanging power of
social connection.
Ridgefield Walk & Talk
Teaming up with Ridgefield Running and Lounsbury House for social strolling that uplifts in mind, body and soul while supporting local businesses with a post walk visit is the model of Walk & Talks.
A great day of supporting the Farmer's Market, immersing in a meditation class at the Market, and polishing it all off with homemade treats and laughter abounding made for the perfect morning spent connecting.
Flower Power: Rockwell Dance Center & The Parker Project
In one of the most profound displays of Flower Power love to date, the Rockwell Dance Center family came together to create and gift 175 "Kindness Bouquets" to staff and patients Gaylord Rehab Center in honor of one of their own, Jack. 🙏
The love, compassion, and uplifting energy emanating from the team in Trumbull and filling the halls, hearts, and souls of those at Gaylord was everything you see in this video and more. So honored to be a vehicle for this shared love and connection, ⭐
November Walk & Talk
A tremendous way to end the Walk & Talk 2024 season on a glorious early November day, SOAR partnered once again with CT Run Co and Lounsbury House to bring the community together.
The time spent at Ridgefield Bagels & Bakes was uplifting for all, with new attendees plugging into future programs and scheduling time to connect with others as per the mission and goal of the Walk & Talk intergenerational programming.
Social Seats October:
Jesse Lee Church
You cannot believe the fun that was had as I passed on the Social Seats hosting duties to the Maries (or M&M Show, whichever you prefer). Who but they can get me to dress up like a pumpkin and love every minute of it....🍑
As someone reflected after this six-month Social Seats milestone, it's beautiful to see the attendees make it their own. Mission music to our ears as we launched a social connection program in the hopes that community members would lean in and let us know how to create space filled with joy and belonging 💫
Social Seats November:
Keeler Tavern
Another wonderful monthly Social Seats with connections sparked, hosts dressed to the nines, and volunteer "Sparks" ensuring all felt loved, heard, and seen...
As the room keeps getting more filled and attendees leave to "tell two friends," plans for Social Seats 2025 are in full swing and we are looking so forward to continuing to add new elements and community members from across zip codes who can benefit from time spent connecting
💫
Thanksgiving Flower Power:
Wakeman Boys & Girls Madison
Our time spent with our Wakeman family was magical as always, with their Flower Power love headed to older adult neighbors at a skilled nursing facility who need the words on the cup as their Thanksgiving message as much as they need the colorful creations 🥰
The most profound moment of the day, however, was when one of the youngest in the room shared his reflection on how to help lead others out of loneliness - "Don't let people get bullied." What a bold, awesome, prophetic statement for all of us to soak in, and what hope it inspires in our next generation of leaders.🔥
